It's the off-season-so a bit of a quiz is in order...we begin with a question which appears to have stumped people on the Elite Forum..
A player in the Austrian League has played for many years with the somewhat strange number of 952-and been allowed to do so. Why did he choose it?

I think Wayne Cowley is the Solihull player............and i think he only played one game for Edmonton in the NHL.
Also, the Billingham answer is slightly easier because it is on HockeyDB (sorry i cheated). It is Patrice LeFebvre who played for Billingham Bombers and a few years later played 3 games for Washington in the NHL.

Why did/do Florida fans throw rats onto the ice? A Panthers player killed a rat in the locker room (with his stick) and went onto score that same night. Florida made the finals that year. Why do Detroit fans throw Octopus onto the ice? It started in the 1950s when a team had to had to win only 8 games to win the Stanley cup. Each leg was symbolic of one play off win. How long was the contract that Wayne Gretzky signed with Edmonton and what did he sign as? Not a clue.
