How long have Brighton been waiting for a rink? 1960 something i think , they surely would deserve it The Brighton Sports Stadium closed down in 1965 I believe. The original Nottingham Panthers' final game was against the Brighton Tigers in the 1960 British Championship final. It was played over two legs and typically Nottingham lost. When the Panthers were re-established in 1980, many in the ice hockey community laughed off the idea of bringing ice hockey back to Nottingham believeing that the only place where ice hockey was played in the BNL days that would support a re-established team would be Brighton! Within weeks we were playing in front of bigger crowds than some of our rivals managed to get over the course of an entire season. In answer to the original question, I wouldn't mind having Hull on board.
