Last night marked the 2nd time a puck has hit me during a match (The last was in 2003 MK vs Isle Of Wight) so thought I'd find out who else has taken a match hit.
Did sting a bit but didn't hurt much though by the way

you'll always remember being hit by a puck at the 29th march blaze v edinburgh game, the very puck that earnt us 10-2. its an occupational hazard standing by the plexi. im glad it didn't hurt too much.

The first one hurt more as it was just above the left eyebrow side if the head. In both times though I made sure that I didn't show any pain ;D

Where did it hit you this time? On the edge of the right ear. it made a cut down that crease on the end. I was in the middle of talking about how Dan Welch missing an open goal just seconds before was like Lizzie missing the bin from less than a foot away during the previous game when it struck me. Straight away I took a quick sip of my drink and carried on talking before somebody pointed out I was bleeding a little. Takes a lot to hurt me with this British Bulldog attitude ;D

I've never been hit by a puck luckily but last week at the panther/steeler game an old lady sat in the front row was hit on the head and was bleeding heavily and the paramedics had to come down, the game was held up for a while while she was treated. Credit to Paul Moran for getting a towel from the bench and tossing it over the glass to stop the bleeding until the paramedics came (eventually)

Whilst I admit on both occasions I've been lucky in some respects, the recent one just nicked me a bit and the first one was just above the eye. In that one I had to sacrifice about 10 minutes with an ice pack but was back by the first period break.
Guess I should use my plexi pals as a shield in future ;D

Anyone remember the dude who got hit with the puck at the BNL Playoff final first leg in Cardiff back in 2003 and ended up missing vertually the whole game?

Yeah I remember. He must have been really unlucky as sitting down like that he couldn't have gotten out of the way. As I recall he got hit right on the Courtenay didn't he?
