Hey guys, Don't know how much news of the Flyers has filtered down to you dudes and dudettes, just thought I'd mention to anyone that was interested that Flyers won the Scottish National League without much problem, not even losing a game during the season. It was embarassingly one sided at most points of the season, but we won it in the end! Had a couple of decent games, but nothing like last season. All the fans miss the trips down to the likes of Coventry, Guildford etc. I was part of the (in)famousFife Conga last year and cant wait for a chance to repeat it  |

Dundee Stars gave us a run for our money a couple of times. To be honest, though i do miss the trips, I can't see us being in the same league again soon. There is too much politics, our sport will suffer more! I think it will be a three or four import league for us next season....  |

Aye, with the BNL gone there seems to be a huge gap between the EIHL and the rest of UK hockey, which is only going to drag the sport down further. Sadly nothing can really be done, not without teams compromising anyway.
Import restricted leagues sound bad for teams like the Flyers, but think how many of the lower teams will be able to compete better for the lower wages they can actually afford. It'll make it a closer league next year thats for sure.

I think the SNL should work with northerly teams who fall foul of the "anywhere north of Sheffield" bias that appears to afflict the EPL and effectively create for want of a better word a Northern Premier League.
