Once again the Old Gold faithful had a story of so near but missing a couple of elements to take it to the next level. Their by now familiar habit of falling to the Blaze in the cup semi final typified the Panthers in the way they left themselves too much to do when they rolled their sleeves up. Following a mediocre (In comparison to when with the Bison) season last time around Curtis Cruikshank once again showed why he was so lauded when playing in Hampshire. Hopes were high with Blaisdell and Darling in unfamiliar territory but once again the Panthers hit their comfort zone and stayed there
Play off final 4 weekend without the hosts would seem unthinkable but could happen if their deadly rivals get the better of them
