The nicknames say it all.
Super v The Great One.
WG also has a road named after him in Edmonton and it isnt a piddly side street.
A quick look through the NHL records also speaks volumes.
Ymans got to be up there too.

Never seen either of them play but Wayne Gretzky makes an appearance in Mighty Ducks 2 so I will vote for him.

Its well worth doing some digging on both players if you havent seen either of them in action.
WG is also coach for team Canada and Pheonix as well as owner of Pheonix.
Mario is just about to sell Pittsburgh if he hasnt already.
I never did catch Mighty Ducks 2 and the whole Disney thing puts me off a bit, thats one of the reasons I dont like Anaheim.

Lemieux was better than Gretzky...he had size, didn´t always play with lethal linemates like Kurri, and nor was he lucky enough to play on possibly the best NHL team ever.
Injury free, Lemieux could have broken all of Gretzky´s records.
