Hi,
Sorry to use such an impersonal means of contacting you all but time is not on my side !
I received a telephone call this evening from Jesse Hammill (Solihull Barons) who asked for help in trying to raise awareness of, and more to the point raise funds for, a young Sheffield U16's player who was tragically paralysed from the chest down in a recent car accident.
Danny McAleese wasn't just a Sheffield U16's player but an England U16's player who now has to face up to the rest of his life in a wheelchair. The funds raised will be used to modify Danny's home so that we can get Danny out of hospital and back home at the earliest opportunity and the target date is Friday 25th November ........ that's just nine days away !
Jesse has thrown himself behind the fund raising effort in typical style and has pledged to do serious damage to his hair if we can raise some big money ......... basically the more money raised, the more Jesse will go to town on his hair !
Personally, I think the cause should touch the hearts of most hockey fans without the need for Jesse's sacrifice but if it does the job then that's good for Jesse !

I'm hoping that you can find some very quick way of publicising the cause on your website / web-forum. Please feel free to add your own personal wording as you see fit ....... so long as there is a link to the above page somewhere.
