Bruins (Eastern Conference) since it was my first experience of hockey, I saw a Steelers game before but that doesnt really count.
Oilers since i plan on living there.

Any interesting reasons for the above just like the team/jerseys.
I feel lucky picking the Bruins since Thornton is awesome and Oilers nearly lost out to the Flames mainly due to Iggy.

I don't claim to be a massive NHL fan, but i guess i've taken a liking to the Leafs because of Wade.

Mighty Ducks mainly because I saw the films when I was younger so were basically the only team I really knew about.
Lightning because I got the jersey just before their Stanley Cup winning season so decided to support them that season. (and continue to do so now)
Blue Jackets because I recently got a BJ Alternate jersey.....but other than that I dont really have a reason to support them....just felt like a change really.

Pittsburgh Penguins. First baseball cap i ever got was a Pens hat and liked 'em ever since!
Going to see Pens - NYR on Saturday in the States...woohoo!
Also like Minnesota and San Jose.

New York Islanders. Only really followed them closely for the past 2-3 years, but had an interest in them for the past 10. My feelings for them became stronger because i found out that one of my friends is a Rangers fan so i thought we'd go for a little friendly rivalry. Other reasons for following them include DiPietro being one of the best goalies in the NHL, their jersies look good and are plain and simple (i have home, away and the orange 3rd jersies). Used to like Mariusz Czerkawski as my favourite player, but seeing as he has now moved to Toronto my new favourite player (and new Islander this season) is Miroslav Satan.

Penguins As when I started watching the NHL they were the most exciting team to watch. They were all about offense and a we'll score more than you attitude. This was at a time where teams were becoming more and more defensive in their style of play, mainly down to New Jersey with the trap system. |
