From the Blaze site:
They don't sell much anymore, and what they do sell is quite expensive IMO. It'll be a case of eat before you go in now.

Hardly an apology- paraphrased, the statement basically reads: "sorry about the way we searched people at the weekend... however, we'll continue to do it as food brought in from outside magically generates more rubbish, is a security threat and could possibly kill you- it's nothing to do with money- honest guv. Even if it is though, everyone does it so there "

Best comment I've heard about these incidents was that someone taking a bottle of pop in was told no as it could be used as a missile. So the ones in the machines inside the rink are the bumblebee equivalent of plastic bottles when it comes to aerodynamics then?

The look on the steward's face when he asked what was in my bag and I replied with "A box of 48 Kit-Kats" was just pure class though... I think he actually thought I was joking till I showed him the box!

Hehe, Beans!! There will be yet another random food product being smuggled in (and signed by newcastle players) this week... And if someone could bring a mixing bowl, some eggs, a bit of butter and sugar... (and of course an oven may be useful...)
