I'm going to find it very hard not to swear in this post so apologies if I do. I am not to refering to the Blaze team that lost 4-3 in Hull tonight as muppets, I am refering to www.ih-update.co.uk.
As I wasn't at tonights game that website was my way of getting score updates. Yet they can't be trusted. I looked and saw we were 3-1 down however, it had that McNamara and Cowley had both scored for us, which confused me. It then came up to say it was 3-2 so that cleared that up. I looked a few minutes later and it said Hull Stingrays 3-4 Coventry Blaze, which sent me round my house celebrating for nearly 10 minutes. I got a rollicking from my mum because of it but I didn't care as the Blaze had won and had gone top of the league. Then I looked again and saw that the 3rd and 4th goals had both been scored by Schuller and assisted by Carlson and Tait, which made me suspicious. Now I have just found out that Blaze actually lost 4-3. So them muppets on that website got me all happy only to make me pished off again. I know they rely on people at the game texting them and mistakes can be made but surely they shouldn't put a score up unless they are 100% sure that that is the score so that fans like me can be saved of the heartache of thinking we've won then finding out we have lost. What annoyed me even more was that I told my brother and dad we had won 4-3 and they are going to think that I lied to them when they find out we lost 4-3. Imagine if I posted updates on here from there. Everyone would have thought I was on the wind-up. No wonder people say ice hockey is a cowboys sport.
