We do get it on Midlands today, we had several reports including the Midlands sports team of the year (we came runner up to Wolves) and Thommo special acheivement nomination (he came runner up to a horse!!) As well as the Fly in the wall documentary about the team following Tommo about. We do get good cover on there but they wont carry our weekend scores for their round up, they do however do features and cover significant events (such as Jody scoring last year) Central news is like banging my head against a brick wall and I know loads of Blaze fans have e-mailed them as well. I am slightly further ahead with that than last year though in the sense that I now have the correct person finally to talk too! Re the big poster outside, this is something we have discussed and are currently sorting out to the best of our ability. We are aware that although we play at the arena we have very little presence their such as "The home of the Coventry Blaze" we also plan to get our fixtures put up outside Cheers

I ran promotions and fixtures via Warwick university and Cov Uni magazines and had absolutely no responce. We are however planning on running it again. That surprises me Sally as I can show you an article I wrote for the Warwick paper last year in which I plugged the Blaze and UK hockey in general-however, I can't speak for Coventry as I've only just moved there. However, have had a word with a few people and sent you a e-mail with a suggestion or two...only provisional at this stage but I'll work on the people here and tell them how great things are On a side note, I'm sure I'm not the only one who was surprised to hear that the marketing budget is zero-it makes the job being done over the past few years even more impressive.

i think the blaze do get a nice amount of coverage , but the silly c*** news on the news. like a couple of weeks ago midlands today had a piece on the roundabout committe , a group of people who go around england taking photos of roundabouts! seriously who cares i would rather see news about local achivements like the covenrty blaze came 3rd in the top ice hockey leauge in the uk than silly news. we want real news about real teams and achivements.

I take it Sally works for free then ;D No they give me beer tokens!! Seriously though it has taken the team nearly seven years to be able to afford a member of staff. Many people don't realise that Andy, Mike and Grant did everything ona voluntary basis on top of their real jobs until they took a member of staff on! I have so much respect for what they've acheived in the space of time they've been here.
