His hair cut is better but i don't think he deserved MOM. Ok he only let one goal in but what about Joel who scored 2!!!!!

Well its all a matter of opinion but i thought he stood on his head for us especially in the first half when the Giants outshot us. So i think it was deserved, joel played pretty good but nobody else really shone did they?

I think Jody deserved MOM asany goalie that faces 36 shots and only gives up 1 goal will have a massive influence on a game. There were a couple of superb saves in there as well.
The only other choice in my opinion would have been McNamara. Absolutely brilliant play to set up Joel for the (relatively) easy finish for the 1st goal, don't think Shane Johnson knew what had happened. His positional play is great as well, he seems to cover so much because of it. Once he gets 1 goal can definitely see him scoring a bunch of them.

I all ways thought that jody had just got off the park bench with his old style(if you could call it that)but the new hair cut looks great and what a great game he had well deserved MOM. ;D

I know what you are saying but if Joel wasn't there to score 2 goals then it would've been 1-1 But if jody had played bad it would have been 3-5. Maybe, nuff said.

I know what you are saying but if Joel wasn't there to score 2 goals then it would've been 1-1 What's your problem with Jody exactly? Surely you should be praising the guy after he just saved 35 shots and kept the Blaze in the game. It's also a bit silly to say "If Joel wasn't playing it would have been 1-1" because we all know that wouldn't be the case-someone else could have quite easily popped in the goals. If Chris McNnamara wasn't playing, Joel wouldn't have scored his first goal see what i mean....?

I just don't see why everyone adores Jody Ok he is quite good, but he isn't the best. He makes to many mistakes and has given up to many goals as a result of these mistakes. Just cause he is the last person to keep the puck out the net doesn;t mean he is the only player to, the other players help keep the puck away from our goal aswell.

I thought this thread was about Jody's performance against Belfast last Sunday and not about his overall form, therefore mistakes he has made in earlia games don't really come into it. Fact is against Belfast he had 36 shots at him and he only let in 1 goal. I think any netminder that does that in a game is a worthy MOTM.

I didn't say he didn't deserve it, i said i though Joel deserved it more.
Johns question sounded more general thats why i brought up other games.
Its only my opinion anyway, why you all getting hyped up about it?!?!

I didn't say he didn't deserve it, i said i though Joel deserved it more. Maybe the new barnet swung the decision! It is always difficult to decide who is MOM generally unless there is a shut out or hat trick as several players are in the reckoning. For my twopenneth I thought Chris McNamara edged it for his all round play. But hey wasn't me to decide
