What kicked off the venom between pavol and mr T i failed to see it i know it was called as roughing .
Thought we looked a bit apprehensive tonight but still a win is a win.
Jody looks back on top form.

Was it not Awada who was fuming with Mihalik, after he checked him into the board?

Could be , maybe he managed to upset both of them ! Mr T was wringing his wrist and then i thought Awada steamed in. And at the end, hand was still raging at pavol.

Pavol had a dig at Hand with his gloved hand as they were both coming out of the corner, and Hand had a go back...Hand was also making motions with his stick when the whistle had gone so at a guess he didn't like Pavol's stick-which does seem to have a life of its own at times when he's battling in the corner... I expect Awada to be looking for a bit of payback next time Blaze and Giants meet-he was ready to kill someone, anyone after getting thumped by Pavol-his gloves seemed to be attracted towards Mihalik's face every time they were battling together afterward, and the Red Mist was visible even from the audio box... Pavol's definitely been a revelation so far this year-he's a nasty little git when he wants to be *-which is the type of d-man Blaze seemed to lack last season-he's doing exactly the same job as Mike Peron (or, God forbid, Vezio Sacratini), and doing it bloody well... *(If anyone from an opposition calls Pavol a nasty little git, or something similar, I will of course defend him, on the premise 'he may be a nasty little git, but he's OUR nasty little git, and we love him!')

yes he must be a nasty little git to play against but what a player i missed the incident in the corner,so thats cleared that up.
Not to have a dig at last years team but looking at the full time 4 d men we have now ,you would not swap one of them would you? Its a measure of the progress we have made .

Think TH was a bit miffed that someone dare check him into the boards, after that he seemed to want to go for Pavol at every opportunity. The incident with the roughing penaltys called afterwards was apparently Pavol catching THs wrist with the butt end of his stick. At times TH seems to think that he has this devine right to space on the ice and that no one should touch him, was nice to see Pavol stopping that as TH looked off of his game the rest of the night. Awada also was after Pavol, but funny moment for me was him charging into check Pavol and just before he got there Pavol had gone and Awada went straight into the boards

Don't forget that TH invented the game and thus should be given immunity from being checked or anything else that impedes his stroll towards a game winning performance ;D
Guess we might need to dig out the old bibs and dummies again for his next visit

Nice to see Tony hand still got the proverbial Fire in his belly after all these years. Mihalik;s doign a fairly decent job in the winding up department, not as good as Vez as everyone hates him and not that many people put mihalik in the same category

gazza...to be fair..its was just the fact that all he was doing all game was moaning to boniface....on...and on...and on...and if you DARED check him...jesus christ he didnt like that...but that attitude came from a few giants last night..
pavol's check in the first period was a cracker..clean and fair..right in front of refs...he just didnt appreciate that he the 'Great one' was checked..
Oh..personally..i love vez...wind up merchant personified..but can take it as well...some guys behind us were giving him some stick the night of the bench scrap...the main culprit being a little rotund...vez sent him a hot dog...without the sausage...lol
top bloke...and a nice one too...always time for fans

Hit the nail on the head, he usually is too smart to get checked it certainly unsettled him all night and then Andre stole the puck from him, oh what deep joy.

That has always been part of Tony Hand's game though, skating round like he owns the ice, much in the same way maxwell does, difference is Hand can actually play some hockey
