It seems that Panthers fans are not as pure as some have claimed in comparison to Blaze fans-a week after a letter appears in Powerplay containing some pretty sensationalist comments, among which the allegation that Blaze fans are racist, and the assertion on the Cage forum that Blaze fans are 'scum' comes a similar incident, only this time with their opposition having a player injured (John Craighead having by all accounts mullered Guildford netminder Miroslav Bielik from behind as he played the puck in the final minutes of the game and the Panthers 7-2 up), leaving him down and in pain on the ice...and out come the jeers and the Oscar chants!
I should mention that the vast majority of Panthers fans have reacted exactly the same way as we did in condemning those who did continue to jeer..that didn't help us on the Cage forum, however...

Irony is indeed wonderful (Although I prefer Goldy or Silvery! ;D)
Will pop on the Cage later in the week to see what the overall picture is regarding this incident.
Did JC get heavily penalised.
Agreed though about the comments,
Motto is "If you're going to take the higher ground first make sure the foundation is stable"

well in a way you are right guys but apparantly it was one guy in the NIC who shouted it and it was posted by someone who was sat in front of them.
so that is a difference to a few blocks doing it at the Skydome

gazza...if you go to the cage and read the entire thread...seems it was more than one person.
still a minority though....as i have said before...all our clubs have this happening at one time or the other

Haven't seen it confirmed how many match bans he got on the cage, but the topic is red hot between the "Sack/Penalise him heavily" brigade and the "Enforcer doing his job/Flames goalie milked it" mob
Hope this doesn't become a prescedent though as peeps will say we started it all off
