What is up with the Blaze fans?!? No chanting what so ever in the skydome, if it wasn't for the B2P and the away fans, the skydome would be silent! Tonights game against Flames was a perfect example, B2P started a lot of chants, but we were on our own ALL night. At away games we are probably the loudest fans in the league (when there are only around 100/150 of us) but at home we are the quietest fans in the league? I NEED some answers!!

Tonights game was a bad example as everyone seemed a little lethargic. Hopefully voices are on form next week when the noisy Geordies are in town. Makes you wonder where this "Hostile atmosphere" at the Skydome comes from when nearly all of the rink is quiet

Re: first post - I know, my thoughts exactly. It's bad most of the time... but tonight was absolutely atrocious. At the start of the second period, I swear it was just me and Carol making noise. I don't understand how people who can be so noisy at away games just don't join in at home. When you visit places like Cardiff, Manchester, Belfast or London, they have the vast majority of their fans getting behind their team, and not just when they score or are prompted to. There was no atmosphere in the Dome tonight, despite the efforts of the Posse and the great Flames fans. The Rich was conspicuous in his absence, we could have done with his voice. By the time the third period came around, we stopped caring, hence the rather crap chants. I'm thinking baout us just not making any noise next week, see how much the Blaze fans as a whole get praised then

We'll give the Blaze fans a taste of there own medicne 'quietness' It's really disapointing when your trying to get behind your team, but knowone will join in!

If we can get everyone to do it, then it would be great.... more effective if we did it in the middle of a period, and in a not-especially-exciting game.
Carol wouldn't be happy though.

Well the posse can only make so much noise, and if the other Blaze fans aren't joining in (why bother?)
I'm all up for the B2P strike, i'm considering sitting in row C for next weeks game!

to be fair (and this is not a dig) the B2P can't really be heard from where i sit in Block 12 as the away fans kind of drown you out.

I agree the Skydome was exceptionally quiet tonight. I put down to the fact that we were trying to behave after the slagging we had from the Panthers fans.
In Block 4 we don't get the benefit of hearing the chants from B2P, the sound obviously does not travel well along the seating. This makes it a little hard to join in, although my kids did their best with horns and 'bangy things'.

Yeah, we could hear Block 4 pretty well, but as i said, the B2P was, and is normally always, drowned out by visiting fans at more or less every game! But then again, i am only answering as a Block 12 person.

Well there are only like I duno 7 that actually chant. What do you expect, 7 people and a drum to make all the noise for all the skydome!!!!
The only chants I knew of were block 2 and the away fans (about 100) all chanting, all dedicated.
It's a disgrace. I'm going on strike.

I thought that the noise we make at games is mainly for the benefit of the Blaze team to show our support. The fact that it is only the Block 2 Posse that make any real noise isn't the players fault therefore striking and not making any noise at all isn't the answer. I reckon the players do appreciate the vocal support that they get. I know that when Michael Tasker was here he used to praise the fans quite often on the radio.

The thing with the Skydome, however, is that it's very strange-when John goes round the blocks before the game the cheers echo off the roof, and then as soon as the puck drops (apart from Block 2, a fair few in Block 4 and a couple in Block 13, by the sounds of things) everyone shuts up-there's very little clapping along to music, even, despite all the efforts of John, the B2P and others. Admittedly last night was a poor game compared to the fare we've got used to at the Skydome but the home crowd, in general, is awful-I accept that not everyone wants to spend the whole game making noise but you'd think there'd be at least some! I'd take the Devils home crowd over the Skydome in a heartbeat, as even at 5-1 down on Saturday there was still a considerable amount of noise from them, and all in the right spirit as well...so, quite simply, Blaze fans, if you're behind your team-
FOR GOD'S SAKE MAKE SOME F-ING NOISE OCCASIONALLY!
