Expelled unfairly from Harvard, American Matt Buckner (Elijah Wood) flees to England to his sister's (Claire Forlani) home. Once there, he is befriended by her charming and dangerous brother-in-law, Pete Dunham (Charlie Hunnam), and introduced to the underworld of British football hooliganism. Matt learns to stand his ground through a friendship that develops against the backdrop of this secret and often violent world. Green Street Hooligans is a story of loyalty, trust, and the sometimes brutal consequences of living close to the edge. Found this review about Green Street Hooligans. I'm deffinatly going to see it when it comes out. The Football Factory was my film of 2004 and although this film doesn't sound as good it sounds a little bit similar.

"Green Street Hooligans" was the working title of the film, its now just called "Green Street" (In the UK anyway, its called "The Yank" or "Hooligan" in the US(Not sure which))
For those intersted it is due for release on September 9th.

Watched this film toinight. There were only about 8 people in there watching, three with me but then again I did go to the 9:30 showing. I was wrong about it being similar to the Football Factory as the two films are very different but still good in their own ways.
Finnally anyone who is going to see this film, look out for a very important message towards the end which isn't really picked up on in the film but is something I have often tried to preach on this forum and to my mates.
