Nice to hear "I'm in over my head" return though I'll double that! Can you please do what Grant did last season and cut it into that other song he used to put over the top? I'm still waiting for my request Guns n Roses - Welcome to the jungle!

With the greatest possible respect to the job he did, what Grant did with the music last season, or whenever, isn't what John and I will do (including managing to play the same song five times in a period-sorry about that -it seems like there are a few people (in particular on the Blaze mailing list) who still expect to be everything as it was last season, and will have a moan when it isn't. There should be quite a few more changes now that a few games are out of the way and we're confident up there-the most obvious ones last week being the intro and the penalty music. Basically, in a nutshell, I will try to put my own stamp on the music played, along with John, and since I felt the whole build-up was in need of a change, that's why the intro (and some of the music from last season) has gone or will be going-I'm not just copying Grant (except for Over My Head, which I've always thought was quality). This is not an attack, or slagging off, or anything like that at anyone who wants to keep the old music,it's a long-winded and polite way of saying 'no, sorry, because of this reason...' to the above post amongst other things-I'm just saying that the chances are the I'll get rid of the majority of stuff Grant used, including the song after Over My Head, because we've had the same thing for about 3 years...however, to soften the blow, listen out for Welcome To the Jungle in the next week or two-I promise I'll get it on at some point (at the moment I'm thinking in the 20 minutes between warm-up and game). Also, if anyone's got any new ideas for a Zorba like song that we can do alongside it and will get the crowd involved, then feel free to post, and in the meantime, don't just sit there with stony faces when a new 'break-in-play' song comes on, and feel free to continue clapping, using the 'noisemakers' or whatever at any time or during the warm-up or when John goes round the blocks... Sorry about the long posting-but it's just in response to some of the things that were annoying me on Saturday, like one comment I heard of 'what's this crap, bring back Grant' when the intro started, which really p***ed me off...and also, on the positive side, many, many thanks to the people who have posted support for the new audio-box-team on the forum....

Your both doing a good job, keep it up! I am a little gutted that you're getting rid of ALL the *classic* tracks though. Here are one's i'd like to stay: Lit - over my head Motorhead - The game All AC/DC Shadapaya face Bryan Adams - Not Guilty (home penalty) These are my favourites and have been for the 3 years i've been watching See what you can do Wheeler

just my 2 penny's worth, but i think that there is already too many poor songs now..........put in some more of the rock/metal type songs which are played in more or less every arena and rink in Britain. if you want an idea of a song or 2 just listen to Kerrang 105.2 FM instead of all this Mercia malarky! You know it makes sense.
Just my opinion of course.

PW you and I do share the same warped sense of humour so I say whatever songs you play will be welcomed by me anyway. Of course I'm guessing that certain tunes will have ingrained themselves into the peeps' conscious however if PW & T-Boy were to play the same stuff as Grant did then there would be moans that they were just a watered down version of GC. Given them time to stamp their own mark on things. I for one think it is pretty good what they do at the moment anyway. I love the Audio/B2P link up with Tom Hark & Pigbag Also this is the first year I have ever heard the sounds of the delectable Gwen Stefani (No Doubt) at the Skydome which pleased me immensley. I agree we need an additional (Blaze only not nicked from Tinsville) tune with a dance in it and am eagerly awaiting such. Maybe the O-Zone one (Sumat to work on King Rich & Co) My thought for the day is look back at this thread one year from today and see how much the new style is over

At every game I can remember going to before this season, the song "Ex-girlfriend" by No Doubt has been played. I e-mailed T-Boy round about TUI Cup time requesting the O Zone song... but I guess he isn't keen...

I too have been pushing the O-Zone song-bear in mind though that John does have a 5-hour radio show to produce every weekday, as well as a life, and in order for songs to be available has to find the songs, then transfer them on to the box, has to put all the songs on, then have me assign a button to them so I can actually get to the songs (which can only happen when we're both in the same place-i.e on Sundays before the doors open, so changes won't happen all at once.
For the record, I"m very much a rock fan also-it seems from what I've heard however that a lot of people have been emailing saying there's too much emphasis on rock music at Blaze games, which I think is wrong. However, we've got 2000 people to try and please, and if most of them want a bit more 'pop' music, then that (unfortunately) is what we have to give them-I shall keep trying to play rock in the build-up at least though-the music played while the warm-up is going on is, from what I can gather, wanted/chosen by the players, so that'll hang around. I might ask to tweak the post-warm-up music to have some different rock songs though (although it seems that people like The Anthem and Gladiator, so will keep those...)

Man I have all these songs.... if you get stuck finding anything then I'm your man.... do they have to be in MP3 format, or on a CD? or what?
We'll have to think of a clappy-thing or a stupid dance to do to Dragostea din tei. Also, where's 5678 been recently?

Well there's only so much to be said about game-won music. Looks like its morphed into another topic about game music.
