Final Score: Coventry Blaze 4-2 Newcastle Vipers. Its Blaze in the final, just hope I can get a ticket tommorow.
2005. Blaze were going for a third trophy of the season, I missed the semi final because of work, Coventry City were playing away in London against a team begginning with 'W' and I believe it was Grand National Day.

Ahh don't worry about it.
Blaze often let the weak teams have their moment of glory before storming to victory in the final 5 minuted

Absolutely gutted...cant think of anyone who shone...sad sad way for Martin to leave the blaze, he looked tearful again as he left the ice.
First period spent far to much time in the penalty box...not playing our game...never recovered.
Gutted

The best team won.
I can't remember us being shut-out for a long time, if at all this season and that shows how good the Steelers were especially defensively. They were well organised and we only started playing like we can in the third. We were also limited to only a couple of clear cut chances and our PP was weak.
I thought AC/DC looked threatening and Cloutier and Cowley worked hard. Koenig was pretty good also.
A great season, just unfortunately the biggest game of the season and we were second best.
Congrats Steelers.
A great season but not a great game by the Blaze.

I agree the best team does win the league, but as for the play-off's you know, teams can get a bit of luck but I think the team that wants it most usually win's the play-off's.

Its a prety weird feeling I'v got right now, the best team wins the league, we did that so nobody can really argue that we are number 1, we also won the Knockout Cup meaning we've now won every trophy at least once. Thats something we should all be proud of and something that shouldn't be taken for granted, however even though Sheffield were well worth their win yesterday afternoon I can't help feeling that it could have been us and that we've underachieved. Hopefully when I go to the End Of Season party on Friday and see the players on stage holding up the two trophies we have won I won't be feeling so gutted.
