As a cardiff supposter i want to apologise for that. There is no space in the sport for yobbish behaviour. Glad that you rose above it though, shows who is the more mature!!! M Cheerz mate, it's always the couple of fans that aren't there for the hockey that get the team a bad name (happens at most rinks) thanks for the apology anyway!

I would also like to offer my apology, no matter how bad we are loosing to anyone even if it is our old rivals there is no excuse for some of our fans to behave in that manner.
i just hope it doesnt put off the impressive number of away support coventry brings to return again, to see (hopefully) cadiff finally turn you over this year

Good to hear that the incident you had involving you and a Devils Fan didn't come to anything in the end covblaze16, however these incidents seem to be starting to happen more and more. I had an inicident myself in Cardiff last season although it was more with a steward rather than with a fan. Basically from my view the steward seemed to be out looking for trouble so that he could solve it and look hard. Anyway I know these incidents are only being caused by a small minority of people but thats all it is going to take for these incidents to start happening more and more and for them to get bigger and bigger. May I suggest that next time Devils come to Coventry us Blaze fans should try and make some kind of gesture to the Devils to show that we are good sports. Maybe have a few fans go up to the Sky Dome early and greet the Devils fans when they get off the coach by shaking hands and making them feel welcome. That might sound a bit over the top but doing something like that would be nice and could help ease a bit of tension.

Well it was almost a typical Blaze vs Devils game from my point regardless of the result when it came to the atmosphere. Many many Devils fans spoke to me in the bar afterwards to say how impressed they were with the Blaze as a whole and Andre in particular. As for the Barmy Army well again we were praised (What a difference a week makes) I have never encountered any hostility at WNIR on the many times I have attended and look forward to each one with extra relish.
Devils fans are a credit to their team, town and country

Devils fans are a credit to their team, town and country I'll second both points-they're by far the best home, and among the best, if not the best, away fans in the league-Devils games are always keenly anticipated on the fixture calendar, and the rivalry, while fierce, is always friendly...

Sorry but I have to throw in a fews bob's worth. I my self as gaz and rhix will tell you do alot of travling and spend an large amount of expences on travel (even to the extenet I will be heading out to the states this year to see one of our ex-players play)
I have seen most things from the guy on friday in London is a grey jummper and grey hair with kids making a cirtian juster to Cardiff fans, who imo should have knew better. Espicaly after we just wacked his 4-0. He also refused to clap the away team off the ice. Some thing which I always make a point of as it not only show's appreaction to not only the players but the fans.
I personly have taken abuse off just about every team in this leauge (apart from Belfast) at one point or another. But I tend not to complain cause I have had the miss foutrtune to turn up for a divison 1 football game which honestly shocked me!
At the end of the day, I dont see any point in bitching about what one, two persons's? as you know that your own fan's will let you down at one point or another.
Or have you all forgot about the time you sung OVER the Welsh National anthem in the BNL playoffs?
Or the shocking cuting sort of our own version in the sky dome?
Or the way your own forum was full of absoulty awfully comments about Mikey that forced the forum to be closed?
Or maybe the bitching from fans to the right of block 8 at us last year.
But hay, swings and roundabouts I suspose.

Or have you all forgot about the time you sung OVER the Welsh National anthem in the BNL playoffs? That one has already been done to death, the rights/wrongs/excuses/condemnations have already been hurled around, with pretty inflamed opinions and excuses flying around on both sides at the time, which is what kicked the rivalry off in the first place-it was actually the last league game at the WNIR as well if we're being picky-why drag that one up again? I assume you mean the challenge game this season-well, that was my fault. Not only was an apology issued immediately afterward, but I myself went on the Devils forum (which I assume you read) and posted a full and frank apology-if you wish I can post a link to the topic on here to save you trawling through the archives also-I suggest you read the responses of the Devils fans who replied to it as well, before going off on one at Blaze fans for events that are dead and buried...

Well sorry, but when your sitting dead opposite people who are giving you the w****r gesture after the Blaze score, i think it needs to be brought up! There's no need for it at all.
Just last week, Blaze fans were being slated for the events that happened at the Nottingham game (which was knowhere near as bad as the things we saw down in Cardiff) yet it still got a nice little write-up in the powerplay magazine!

I am stunned that I always seem to miss the insults that are thrown on both sides. As i have pointed out after every game at the WNIR I always head for the bar (Surprise) and awlways find myself being met with the friendliest of people no matter what the result. this week in particular the praise was following. Even when the Devils win I find the fans don't gloat like others i won't mention.
Maybe it is a sparse amount on each side that seem intent on inflaming the situation but whilst the majority of Blaze and Devils fans are as open as they are they will not succeed

See the chip-related poster above for an example of inflaming... On the subject of the letter in Powerplay, it might be worth purchasing this week more than ever as there will no doubt be a big response from Coventry to the allegations made in that letter last week...some people will believe anything about Blaze fans, it seems...

I remember the first time Grant Charman invited the Devil's fans to sing the National Anthem at the Sky Dome. They were interupted but I think that was due to us not realising that there were two versus to it so when you paused between the first and second verse people thought it was over. As for the time we drowned you out with God Save The Queen in the BNL Playoffs, that was before the away team were invited to sing their anthems at Blaze V Devils matches. I think that was just intented as a bit of fun although looking back I am not too surprised that offense was caused.

I wasnt in Nott's so cant comment however I do know an off ice offical that works there and she was very shocked by some of the comments to be made. Thats all I can say is, if there is a player on the ice not moving getting attending by BOTH set's of team doctors that isnt the time to make any remarks at all.
Yes an appolgey was realised over the cutting short of out anthem just seem's a bonehead thing to do since both out nations comepete so offten togther.
Leaving my above post behind, I think if you search all the forums I post on, I have never once commented on orther fans conduct and tbf it only seem's Blaze fans that have a problem with us (apart from Shefiled ones!)
AND BTW fourthlinecentre if you have a problem with me, which I didnt have with you please make any scarey remarks off the main forum, or even make them to my face im not hard to find home or away.
