Decent new comedy on Monday nights on BBC2
Of particular note this one is set in Coventry and it is amusing to spot the links. It is about a woman who returns to Coventry after 12 years away trying to make it big but comes back with her tail between her legs. Her social circle are wittingly cruel in their glee.
That said the research could be better as from a balcony one of the characters remarked to Emma the main character- "Bet this is all new to you look" And he points out 2 new buildings "The Rico Arena and Ikea".....Exactly where is the balcont that can see both of these from the same view point.
The cod Brummie accents are a hoot as well. Don;t the writers know of the Leicestershire twang to the dialects?
Very watchable if not must-watch
