Interested in going watching the Blaze with a few friends. We're planning to go the game against Newcastle on the 29th, but since it's our first time, we're not sure if we'll have to book in advance or not, or if we can just pay on the night and all sit together no problem.
The latter would be preferable - there's about 5 or 6 of us.

You'll be fine just turning up and buying tickets on the night and you should all be able to sit together providing your not particularly fussed about what block you sit in.

But that's replacing a D-man with a center, so either a forward is moving to D, or the new guy will be playing D even though he's a forwad. Unless of course he isn't a replacement for Robinson, and someone is going.

On Steeler's Website, it says Ben Simon has signed for Blaze. He wanted to sign for Steelers and attend Sheffield Uni but could not get a place there. However, Coventry Uni offered him a place, hence he chose us. He has had about 90 games in the NHL and looks to be a great signing for the Blaze. Who he replaces as an import on our roster is anybody's guess but Robinson is injured so could be him
Come and support the Academy teams « Result #14 on Nov 10, 2009, 8:38pm »
Greetings, knowing how much you all love ice hockey, can I invite you to attend the CBIHA matches. My son Joe, plays in the under 10s, but there are also the under 12s,14s,16s,& 18s and as far as I'm aware, it's FREE to spectate. The under 10s have had some cracking matches and there are often 12 or more goals scored, which a few more than the seniors! The juniors may not have the finesse of the seniors, yet but they lack in skill they make up in effort. The team tends to be supported only by families and it would be great to see more people there cheering the kids on - some of them could be future Blaze players. The link below should take you to the diary detailing future games:- http://www.coventryblazeacademy.co.uk/Ho....GB/Default.aspx

My son Joe was mascot at a recent game and thoroughly enjoyed himself and from what he said, the team also 'like' to have a mascot. He certainly bought the Blaze some luck as they won the match. Joe is a member of the under-10s team and the experience was something he will remember for ever.

There isn't exactly much supprter action. It's not like football. Graeme does the rounds throughout the game getting the 3 chants going but generally most of the noise comes from the away followers when they bring a decent number. It's not really the sort of sport to make a lot of noise at to be honest
